Robert Verdugo - Obituary

obert “Bob” Anthony Verdugo, 54, of Crofton, MD, died Friday, October 22, at Howard County General Hospital. Born June 19, 1956 in Los Angeles, CA, Bob was a sales representative for Republic National Distributing Company in Jessup. He was also a wine enthusiast and enjoyed cooking and sailing. Bob was predeceased by his father, Ruben R. Verdugo, who died in 2001. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Dawn Hegeman Verdugo; two sons, Robert A. Verdugo, Jr. of Ozark, AL and Jonathan Verdugo of Brussels, Belgium; one daughter, Danielle (Chris) Madden of Corvallis, OR; and his mother, Mary Elia Verdugo, one brother, R. Stephen (Lisa) Verdugo and one sister, Norma (Bill) Stryker, all of Whittier, CA. Also survived by one granddaughter, Taylor Ann Verdugo and many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to Bob’s Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Tuesday, October 26, from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 27, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD.
