obert Harmon (Bob) Walters, 89, of Washington, D.C., passed away Friday, July 21, 2025.
Born June 9, 1936, in Johnson City, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Charles and Frances (Carrier) Walters.
Bob was a 1954 graduate of Jonesboro High School. After graduation, he left for Washington, D.C. where he began work as a fingerprint analyst for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Bob soon found he wanted to work in open spaces and liked working with people, so he began working as a car and truck salesman and sales manager. Bob loved spending time with family, playing golf and softball, and watching sports.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Lina (Copeland); sister Peggy Francis, and his brother Marvin Walters.
Survivors include his loving daughter Theresa Teter (Robert) of Macon, North Carolina; three brothers Ted Walters (Gay) of Johnson City, Tennessee, Jerry Walters, (Denise) of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and Dan Walters of Brunswick, Maryland. He is also survived by his grandson David Teter (Katrina Skwarek) of Alexandria, Virginia.
Private burial will be scheduled in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville, West Virginia.
