Roland E. Coffin, Jr. - Obituary

oland E. Coffin, Jr., 69, a resident of Davidsonville, MD died on Thursday, April 18 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD. Born on September 27, 1949 in Annapolis, MD to the late Dorothy Coffin Stamp and Roland Coffin, Sr., Roland worked as a carpenter for most of his life. He enjoyed drag racing, building houses, good food, animals and spending time with his grandkids. Roland is survived by his children, Amber Jones of Arnold, MD, Derek Ecker of Baltimore, MD and Jeffrey Coffin of California; his siblings, Loretta Sweeney of Edgewater, MD and Thomas Coffin of Florida and his grandchildren, Alexis and Dylan Jones and Shane and Cody Ecker. Friends are invited to celebrate Roland's life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, April 25 from 11 am until his funeral service begins at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery in Annapolis, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County, P.O. Box 3471, Annapolis, MD 21403.
