onald Thomas Davis, born July 23, 1962, departed this life December 10, 2009. Ron was a beacon in the lives of many, many people but most importantly in the lives of his three children, Ronald, Raushan, and Rasheed. Ron loved his children and patterned his life in way that would make them strong, respectful, yet humble human beings. Ron grew up in a small family with his mother, Thelma, step-father, Chuck and brother, Troy. His closest friends in his early youth were his first cousins: Everett, Sean, Langston, Desiree, Rakia and Essence. His grandparents, aunts, Carol, Sherri, Rose, Peggy, Judy and their spouses rounded out the family making it a large tightly woven family bonded strongly in love. Over the years he made many, many more friends in school, church and in the community. Ron was a real “people person,†which ultimately lead to his calling in life.He attended P.S. 30 elementary school in Rochdale Village Jamaica, New York, St. Joseph Parochial School for Junior High and Martin Van Buren High School. While at Martin Van Buren he ran cross- country, was in a bowling league, on a baseball team and was an Acolyte at Allen A.M.E. Church. He completed his formal education at Howard University in Washington, D.C.Ronald's Professional Life: In 1992, Ron Davis embarked upon a phase of his life, during which he would identify and then immerse himself in his life's great work. Ron's life's great work, which enhanced the quality of all lives he touched, continued to the very last week of his life. Ron would become a master life coach, and one of the world's foremost transformational trainers, specializing in metaphysical reality creation, the spiritual sciences and leadership. This phase of his life began with his participation in the Lifespring trainings. After leaving Lifespring, Ron founded Optimum Living in 1998, in which he offered leadership and accomplishment coaching. He soon became aware that his life and his work could be greatly expanded by the exploration of the metaphysical and spiritual sciences. This led directly to his enrollment in the National Spiritual Science Center, where he was ordained as a Minister of Spiritual Science in 2002. Ron's leadership was typified when he was elected president of the National Spiritual Science Center while still an undergraduate. Upon completing his work with the National Spiritual Science Center, Ron joined the faculty of the Inner Visions Institute, where he created the Spiritual Life Coaching Graduate Program. During his tenure with Inner Visions (2002-2004), he profoundly contributed to many lives and transformed the organization. This progression culminated in his ultimate and greatest endeavor in the field of human potential, leadership and transformation. In 2004, along with Chet Raymond, he co-founded the Ascend Spiritual Flight Academy, which offers a series of workshops and programs, designed to support people in achieving their goals and aspirations as well as maximizing their contribution to the community.
