Ronald Groves - Obituary

adly, Ronald Carl Groves, Jr., 53, of Cheverly, MD, passed away on December 7, 2015 at Prince George’s Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the devoted son of Patricia (Leiss) Groves of The Villages, FL and the late Ronald C. Groves, Sr.; cherished brother of the late P. Kevin Keehn and his wife, Anne (Keough) Keehn, of Virginia, Terry and his wife, Nita (Moody) Keehn of Dunkirk, MD, and Vicki (Groves) Davis of Gambrills, MD. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Born on August 18, 1962, Ronnie grew up in New Carrolton, MD and attended Parkdale High School. He worked as an electrician and in landscaping. Ronnie was an avid Redskins fan, loved music and was always quick to lend a hand. He really enjoyed the company of many friends over the years, and his family and friends will dearly miss his sense of fun and humor. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ronnie’s life from 1 to 3 and 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD. The memorial service and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvert Hospice, 238 Merrimac Court, Prince Frederick, MD 20677. Cremation services were provided by Galena Funeral Home, Galena, Maryland.
