onald V. Hoffmann, 76, a twenty year resident of Davidsonville and formerly of Selby on the Bay, died at home on May 9, after a 3 year illness. Born December 13, 1937 to the late Frank and Susan Hoffmann, Ronald graduated from Anacostia High School then attended the University of Maryland. He was the owner of his own HVAC sheet metal shop in Davidsonville. Ronald served his country in the US Army from 1957 to 1963 where he was an expert rifleman. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing, watching football, riding tractors, taking pictures, fishing, hunting, trap shooting and bowling.
Ronald is survived by one son, David M. Hoffmann of Davidsonville; one brother Frank Hoffmann of Ft. Myers, FL; one grandson, David Hoffmann, Jr. of LaPlata; one granddaughter, Kayla Hoffmann of LaPlata.
A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 14 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, where a funeral service will be held Thursday, May 15 at 1pm. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
