Ronald A. Hurley, Jr., “Ronnie”,70, a resident of Atlanta, GA and previously of Annapolis, MD, passed away on November 24, 2016 after a four month battle with cancer. Born on July 4, 1946 in Washington, D.C. to Elizabeth Hurley and the late Ronald Hurley, Sr., Ronnie was a graduate of the University of Maryland. He served his country for six years in the US Navy as a Naval Aviator and graduated flight school from the Naval Air Station at Pensacola, FL. He later worked for and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Annapolis. Ronnie’s interests included cars, The Beach Boys, Disneyland and he was a devoted son to his mother, Elizabeth C. Hurley of Annapolis. In addition to his mother, Ronnie is survived by two brothers, Michael P. Hurley of Silver Spring, MD and John C. Hurley of Hawaii.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Ronnie’s life on Thursday, December 1 from 11am to 12pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. A funeral service will begin at 12pm. Interment will follow at Ft. Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, MD.
