onald James "Butch" Miller, age 83, of Edgewater, MD, died on Tuesday, July 7, 2015. Born on April 8, 1932 in Alexandria, VA, Butch served in the U.S. Army from January 1953 through January 1955, during which time he was a member of the Army Boxing Team. He worked for C&P Telephone Company for 32 years, retiring in 1985. Butch was an avid Redskins fan who enjoyed playing and watching golf, spending time with his grandchildren and was blessed to see them grow into adulthood. He is survived by his wife, of 62 years, Evelyn Fowler Miller; his children, Ronald Miller, Jr. and his wife Betty, Jesse Miller and his wife Pat, Debra Booth and her husband Bill and Terry Rudy and her husband Joe; seven grandchildren, Michael Stowe, Dana Miller and his wife Dana, Tiffany Overton, Erin and Tyler Rudy, Caitlin Perkins and her husband Adam and Haley Booth; and one great-granddaughter, Jasmine Queen. A viewing will be held on Monday, July 13 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
