Rosalie Howse - Obituary

osalie E. Howse, beloved mother of Matthew and life partner with Larry Shubnell, died at her home in Lancaster, VA on Friday, June 18, 2010. Her late husband, Charles, predeceased her in 1981. She is survived by her mother, Ethel Marie Green and sister, Bonnie Green, both of Annapolis, MD. She was a descendent of the founder of the Maryland Gazette, Jonas Green. Ms. Howse was deeply rooted in nature, loving critters and animals of all kinds. She was a volunteer at the Animal Welfare League in Kilmarnock, VA. Rosalie was always helping others and enjoyed playing golf. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Friends are invited to Rosalie's Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Tuesday, June 22 from 7 to 9pm, where services will be held on Wednesday, June 23 at 11am. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery.
