ose Marie Curtin Hunt Lawson, 74, a 37-year resident of Edgewater, died of congestive heart failure May 28 in her daughter's home in Odenton.
Mrs. Lawson was born Nov. 9, 1933, in Upper Marlboro.
She retired from the County Board of Education, where she worked as an administrative assistant for 24 years.
She was a member of Chesapeake Christian Fellowship in Edgewater.
Her hobbies included doing crossword puzzles, traveling and visiting with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 23 years, Ed Lawson, who died in January; her former husband, Richard Hunt Sr.; two brothers, Francis and Bryan Curtin; and one sister, Roberta Green.
Survivors include two sons, Andrew Hunt of North Beach and George Hunt of Edgewater; five daughters, Donna Taylor of Odenton, Darlene Bates of Waldorf, Colleen Straight of Clinton, Cathleen Olsen of Phoenix, Ariz., and Debbie Zadera of Annapolis; one brother, Arnold Curtin of Baden; six sisters, Ellen Holt of Delaware, Barbara Baboolal of North Beach, Elaine Webb of Baltimore, Muriel Tucker of Upper Marlboro, Joan Mabe of Tennessee and Jean Lewandowski of Wayson's Corner; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to Rose's Life Celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday June 2, 2008 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday June 3,2008 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton.
