Rose Segerstrom - Obituary

ose Sara Segerstrom, 91, a 12-year resident of Davidsonville, MD and previously of Bowie, MD, died on February 20, 2008 from natural causes at the Spa Creek Center. The daughter of the late Placido and Rosaria Bonanno, Mrs. Segerstrom was born and raised in Washington, DC. She was a retail sales clerk at Lansburgh's Department Store in Washington, DC for many years. In 1946, she married Henry A. Segerstrom who died in 1985. Mrs. Segerstrom was very devoted to her family, one of her greatest joys was watching her grandchildren. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Davidsonville. Mrs. Segerstrom is survived by two daughters, Rosemary Ingram of Severn and Linda Razzano of Davidsonville; five granddaughters and 10 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by four brothers, Charles Bonanno, Vincent Bonanno, Joseph Bonanno and Anthony Bonanno. Relatives and friends are invited to Mrs. Segerstrom's Life Celebration on Sunday, February 24, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at the Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Monday, February 25, 2008 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 West Central Avenue, Davidsonville.
