osemary Pryal, of Annapolis, MD and formerly of Bethany Beach, DE, and Rockville, MD, died peacefully on Monday, June 25, 2018. Born on May 3, 1935, in Carbondale, PA to the late Thomas Joseph and Rose Horan Munley, Rosemary graduated from Carbondale High School where she was named the valedictorian of the class of 1953. After graduation, she was employed at the Office of the Mayor of Carbondale and then as a clerk at the Lackawanna County Courthouse. In 1958 she married Frank Pryal, and the couple welcomed two sons, David and Thomas. They moved to Washington, D.C. where Rosemary worked with the Office of Personnel at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission until her retirement in 1989. She was an active member of Saint Catherine Laboure Parish in Wheaton and Saint Patrick’s Parish in Rockville. Upon retirement, Rosemary and Frank moved to Bethany Beach where she was an active parishioner at Saint Anne’s Catholic Church, attended daily Mass and volunteered for many committees and events. Rosemary and Frank also enjoyed many winters in Naples, FL, and trips to Ireland and Italy. Rosemary was a talented artist and was fond of painting watercolor scenes of the Delaware shore. In addition to her parents, Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Pryal and her brothers, Joseph, Jack and Donald Munley. Rosemary is survived by her sons, David and his wife, Geralyn of Bethesda, MD and Tom and his wife, Helen of Annapolis, MD and her grandchildren Tommy, Patrick, Mary Helen, Marra, Deirdre, and Rory. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 30 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Rd., Annapolis, MD.
