Rosemary Roussil - Obituary

osemary Roussil, 74, a resident of Edgewater, MD died of cancer on Thursday, February 29 at her home surrounded by family. Born on February 14, 1950 in Oak Park, IL to the late John “Jack” and Helen Conley, Rosemary earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and was the Chief Development Officer for the Metropolitan Washington Ear. She enjoyed baking cookies for her grandchildren, community service and fundraising. Rosemary is survived by her husband of fifty years, Ken Roussil; her children, Keith Roussil of Lyons, CO, Colin Roussil of Wilmette, IL and Jennifer Roussil of Alexandria, VA; her siblings, John Conley, Tricia Metzinger and Kathy Traxler and her grandchildren, Margot, Theodore and Liam Roussil and Emma DeVito. Friends are invited to celebrate Rosemary’s life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Friday, March 8 from 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 515 Loch Haven Rd., Edgewater, MD on Saturday, March 9 at 11 am.
