Rosena Brockmond - Obituary

rs. Rosena I. Brockmond departed this life January 5, 2014 at Fort Washing Rehabilitation Center in Fort Washington Maryland after a prolonged illness. She was born in Washington, D.C. on August 9, 1926 to the late Clausell and Pearl Payne. Mrs. Brockmond moved to Mount Vernon, New York in 1943, where she worked at the Mount Vernon Hospital for 25 years. In 1998 Mrs. Brockmond returned to the Washington D.C. area to be closer to family. Ms. Brockmond was preceded in death by her parents: Clausell and Pearl Payne, sister Helen Thompson and niece Margaret Smith. She leaves to cherish her memory, grandniece Michelle (Stanley) Nelson and great-grandniece Lena Nelson. Burial services will be held in New Rochelle, New York on February 8, 2014.
