Ruth Wolff - Obituary

uth Marie Wolff, 86, a 31-year resident of Heritage Harbour in Annapolis, MD and previously of Adelphi, MD died on February 28, 2011 at her residence after a brief illness. Born January 21, 1925 in Washington, DC, she graduated from Roosevelt High School in Washington, DC in 1943. Ruth was a vestry woman at The Church of Our Saviour, Hillandale and most recently was a member at St. James Episcopal Church in Lothian, MD. She enjoyed golf and was a volunteer at the Caring Collection. Ruth is survived by her husband, David Wolff, whom she married June 1, 1944; four children, Russell Wolff of Monrovia, MD, Richard Wolff of Vienna, VA, Nancy Knotts of Elkridge, MD and Cindy Wren of Elkridge, MD; also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Ruth was predeceased by 1 grandchild. Friends are invited to Ruth’s Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Wednesday, March 2 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 3 at 12pm at St. James Episcopal Church, 5757 Solomons Island Road, Lothian, MD. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville.
