Sandra Lee Mickey - Obituary

andra Lee Mickey, age 77 gained her wings on January 30, 2022. Sandra was born on December 7, 1944 in Washington, D.C. to Arthur and Maye Chamberlain. She married Danny Joe Mickey Sr. in December 1961. She is survived by her children, Kathy (Dale) Swartz, Danny Joe Mickey Jr. and Charles Edward Mickey; sister, Brenda Ball; grandchildren, Dale R.(Kay) Swartz, Norman L. Vassar and Danielle L. Mickey; great-grandchildren, Austin, Chase, Kiara and T.J. Swartz, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her father and mother, Arthur and Maye Chamberlain, husband, Danny Joe Mickey Sr.; sisters, Shirley Reed and Lois Gardner; brothers, Raymond, Arthur, Leroy and James Chamberlain. Sandra loved spending time with friends and family. She was an amazing Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. She was the first to lend a helping hand. She will be truly missed by her family and many friends. Relatives and friends are invited to Sandra’s Life Celebration on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 12 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. at the KALAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD.
