Sandra Ann Valenti - Obituary

andra Ann Valenti nee Marshall, a 35-year resident of Edgewater, MD, and formerly of Riva, MD, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026. Affectionately known as Sandy to family and friends, she was born on October 14, 1952, in Washington, DC, to the late John E. and Audrey (Heckrotte) Marshall. Sandy graduated from Bladensburg High School in 1970, and later from the University of Maryland, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in technology management. After college, Sandy owned and operated CFO Today, where she was a certified public accountant. She was a member of the Maryland Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA) and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 35-years, John “Jack” Valenti; two children, P. Alex Baños of Pasadena, MD and Jennifer S. (Stevens) Baños of Riva, MD; a sister, Jo E. Lockhart; and five grandchildren, Jason Knapp, of Edgewater, MD, David Stevens, III of Riva, MD, Cody Stevens of Riva, MD, Nolan Baños of Pasadena, MD, and Kylee Stevens of Riva, MD.
