ara Elizabeth Yates Nee Ruf On Friday, December 1, 2023, Sara Elizabeth Yates Nee Ruf passed away in Clinton, MD; the beloved wife of the late Francis S. Yates, Sr; daughter of the late Harold E. Ruf and Alma L. Ruf Nee Miller; mother of Elizabeth Ann Yates, Alma M. Walton, Francis S. Yates, Jr., Christine M. (Victor) Cruz and Danielle A. Lucht; grandmother of Shawn Walton, Sara Walton, Timothy Walton, Matthew Walton, Helena Hancock, Michelle Brandenburg, Jackson Lucht and the late Benedict F. Walton, Jr; sister of the late Martha Martin, Edward Ruf and Mary Faunce. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to Sara's Life Celebration on Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 10 a.m. until the start of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 5416 Henderson Way, Camp Springs, MD 20746. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, MD 20735. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
