cott Delcore, 59, passed away surrounded by his wife, Sandi, and family on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at his home in Davidsonville, MD, after a courageous and inspiring battle with pancreatic cancer. Born and raised in Hyde Park, NY, Scott grew up in a close-knit community along the scenic Hudson River. From a young age, he displayed a remarkable work ethic and curiosity about the world around him. Whether honing his culinary skills while working in a restaurant, or assisting in construction and landscaping projects, Scott’s passion for creativity and precision shone brightly. These early experiences shaped his talents and instilled in him a lifelong love for craftsmanship and problem-solving. Scott’s academic achievements were as impressive as his personal pursuits. He graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, where he earned a bachelor's degree in physical science with a concentration in aerospace engineering, mathematics, and computer science. A proud member of the Sigma Pi fraternity, Scott cherished the friendships and camaraderie he built during college. Professionally, Scott’s career was marked by his consistent dedication and diligence to success. He began his journey at SAIC Annapolis, where his exceptional skills contributed to critical projects for the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense. His work took him across the globe, including Europe and Asia, broadening his horizons and deepening his understanding of diverse cultures. A highlight of his career was a special assignment in Hawaii, which sparked a profound connection to the islands—a love he carried throughout his life. In 1999, Scott met Sandi, and their story became a testament to the power of love and partnership. Engaged in the spring of 2000, they were married in the same year on a chilly November day on the South River in Annapolis. Their bond only grew stronger over the years. Together, they built a life rooted in love, trust, and shared adventures, from their home in Millersville, MD, to their cherished “forever home” in Davidsonville. In 2007, Scott took a leap of faith and founded Interclypse, a company that became a reflection of his values and vision. Over 18 years, he poured his heart into creating a successful business and a community of colleagues and friends inspired by his leadership and integrity. Scott’s entrepreneurial spirit and unwavering determination inspired a legacy that will continue to impact the lives of many. Outside of work, Scott was a man of many talents and passions. He was an accomplished sailor, competing in regattas on the Chesapeake Bay and in Hawaii, where he found joy and freedom on the water. His love of nature extended to his beautifully landscaped gardens and grass, which he meticulously designed and maintained. A gifted chef and carpenter, Scott took pride in creating with his hands, whether carving wooden spoons, constructing multipurpose buildings, or preparing gourmet meals for loved ones. His home was filled with laughter, the aroma of delicious food, and the wagging tail of his beloved Golden Retriever. While living in Millersville, he and Sandi were active members of Faith Baptist Church in Glen Burnie, where Pastor James Nichols nurtured their spiritual journey. After moving to Davidsonville in 2014, they joined Riva Trace Baptist Church and were baptized together by Pastor Dennis Gray in 2024, an experience that strengthened their spiritual journey. Despite his cancer diagnosis in September 2023, Scott’s strength, courage, and positivity never wavered. He treasured every moment with Sandi and Kaia, finding strength in the love and support of those around him. His resilience and gratitude in the face of adversity were a testament to his character and inspired everyone who knew him. Scott’s legacy is carried forward by those who loved him dearly. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sandi; his sisters, Judy Tuff and Paula Russo; his niece, Theresa Kimble; his nephew, Eric Tuff; his father-in-law, Terry Reetz; his sisters-in-law, Tammy Walsh and Deb Emmert; and his brother-in-law, Jeff Reetz. He is reunited in eternal peace with his parents, Paul and Frances Delcore; his mother-in-law, Arle Reetz, and his cherished dogs, Sailor, Bailey, Kona, and Kela. A celebration of Scott’s life will take place on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Riva Trace Baptist Church, 475 W. Central Ave, Davidsonville, MD. A reception will follow, where friends and family can gather to honor his memory. Those wishing to send flowers can contact Dazzling Florist at dazzlingflorist.net or 443-509-5993.
