orn on July 6, 1982 at Bethesda Navy Hospital into a military family; Scott’s life span across the entire United States. His first year and a half was spent in Florida, where he surprised his Mom and started walking at 9 months old. He was always inquisitive and fast, so that meant his terrible two’s started when he turned 1. At 2 he moved to Washington State and spent the next five years. This is where his bond with his brothers really began. The three so close in age were instant playmates. Sharing toys and playing the way boys do. This included encouraging someone to climb a tree. The family Christmas tree. When he turned 7, he moved to New Orleans. This is where the term “the Rourke Boys” started. They travel together, played together with Scotty the chief mischief maker. His best time was the three years in Kodiak, Alaska. This is where his personality really developed. Becoming very quick witted, it was his way to control any situation. Always friendly, outgoing and when you wound him up, your side would hurt from laughter. Moving to Butler, Pennsylvania was the final family move. Here, Scott graduated from High School in 2000. Working a variety of jobs but always excelling at sales and his humor always shining through. Numerous times his friend would drag Scott to a comedy club, where in typical Scotty fashion he had the audience in stiches. In 2009 his son, Nolan was born. Spitting image of his dad in both looks and wit. Few years back he taught Nolan how to bowl. That lasted until 2023 when Nolan beat his dad, not once but continually beating his dad at every outing. But in the end, it was a severe abdominal infection that took his life. Gone are his jokes, his wit. Nights are a lot more quiet. Scott will be sorely missed. And until we meet again; May God hold you in the palms of his hands. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Scott's life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Friday, June 20 from 11 am until his funeral service begins at 1 pm.
