ean J. Brannon, age 45, a resident of Annapolis for 11 months and previously of Edgewater, died suddenly on July 28, 2013 in Annapolis.
Affectionately known as "J Bird", Sean was born on July 6, 1968 in Washington, D.C. and graduated in 1987 from Bowie High School. He co-owned and operated Sunrise Tree and Landscaping in Annapolis and was president of the Oxford House in Annapolis. He enjoyed cars, crabbing and boating with his family. Sean will be remembered for his contagious smile, his ability to make people laugh and the way he could make anyone his "buddy".
Sean is survived by two children, Maya Brannon of Denton and Hunter Brannon of Solomons Island; his parents, Larry and Linda Brannon of Edgewater; two brothers, Shane Brannon and his wife, Nichole of Florence, SC and Seth Brannon and his wife, Monica of Harwood; a sister, Nicole Gownley and her husband, Sean of Annapolis; his grandmother, Helen Brannon of Port St. Lucie, FL; two nephews, Jack and Cole Brannon and six nieces, Ally, Alayna, McKenna and Elle Brannon and Nellie and Carlie Gownley.
Friends are invited to Sean's Life Celebration on Friday, August 2 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 3 at 11am at Calvary United Methodist Church, 301 Rowe Blvd., Annapolis. Interment private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Oxford House, 699 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD 21401.
