Sean Francis Dominguez Conway - Obituary

S

ean Francis Dominguez Conway, 39, of Annapolis, MD, passed away on January 13, 2026 after a long battle with addiction. Sean was born on August 19, 1986, to James Michael Conway and Olga Maria Dominguez and was immediately a handful. He made his presence known from an early age and was always the center of attention. Sean possessed natural charisma and exhibited infectious enthusiasm for life! Those fortunate to know Sean were quickly enamored with him. He had an uncanny ability to make friends. Sean had a keen interest and talent in fashion, design and art. He shared these gifts generously with all who knew him. These talents made him an exceptional and thoughtful gift-giver. Sean was deeply interested in the thoughts and feelings of other people. He genuinely wanted to engage and understand others. Sean was also a lover of animals, rescuing and fostering countless dogs and cats, including his beloved dog Benson. You routinely found him playing ball with Benson and his lacrosse stick. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, Sean fiercely loved his family and friends. Those reading this obituary likely know that Sean was a complicated person who struggled with addiction. With all of the ups and downs, he always came back to his people. He was a loving son, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle. He will be greatly missed and remembered by all who knew him. May his memory be a blessing. Sean was predeceased by his father, James Conway. He is survived by his mother, Olga Dominguez; brother, Alexander Conway; sister-in-law, Anne McCabe; nephew, Francis Conway; and niece, Nora Conway. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Sean’s life on Friday, January 23 from 5 to 7 pm at Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD 21037. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Helping Up Mission, a local organization helping individuals fight addiction (1029 E. Baltimore St., Baltimore, MD 21202 or online here). Online condolences may be made using the Memories tab on this page.
