Sharon Kernan - Obituary

haron Kernan, 66, a resident of Edgewater, MD for forty years and previously of Riverdale, MD died on Monday, December 11 at her home due to lung cancer. Born on June 18, 1957 in Washington, DC to the late William Salters and Margie May Burkhart Moseley, Sharon was a 1975 graduate of Bladensburg High School. She was a homemaker who loved the beach, fishing at Lake Anna, arts and crafts and playing games and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Buddy Kernan; her children, Jason Kernan of Edgewater, MD and Carol (Shelby) Taylor of Crawfordville, FL and her grandchildren, Kamden and Hayley Taylor and Kiley Kernan. Sharon was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Hutzel. Friends are invited to celebrate Sharon's life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Sunday, December 17 from 1 pm until her funeral service begins at 3 pm.
