Sharon Pailthorp - Obituary

haron Lund Pailthorp, 66, a 33-year resident of Davidsonville and formerly of Bowie, died July 12 at her home. She was born on February 21, 1946 in Washington, DC to the late Arthur and Frances Lund and graduated from the University of Maryland in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. Sharon was a buyer and store manager for 16 years at the former Garfinckels Department Stores in Seven Corners and Tysons Corner, VA and Landover, MD. She was a member of St. Anne’s Parish in Annapolis. Sharon enjoyed cooking, swimming and snorkeling and had a passion for art and early American history. She is survived by her husband, James Pailthorp; her two daughters, Ann and Ingrid Pailthorp of Annapolis and her brother, Arthur Lund, Jr. of Indian Head, MD. Friends are invited to Sharon’s Life Celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 16 and from 10 a.m. until her funeral service begins at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 17 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. Interment Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf.
