Sharon Rushing - Obituary

haron Lee Rushing, 70, a 9-year resident of Chambersburg, PA, and previously of Edgewater, MD, died of cancer on Monday, April 3, 2023. Born in Washington, DC on July 14, 1952, to the late Joseph and Isabella McGee, she was a member of the first graduating class at Parkdale High School. Sharon worked in the direct mailing industry for over 30 years. She enjoyed bowling, going to casinos, and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by two siblings, Joseph, and Patricia McGee. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Mike Rushing; three children, John Leckliter of Winter Garden, FL, Tammy Bishop of Montgomery, TX, and Jennifer Mosher of Fayetteville, PA; two siblings, Michael McGee of Hurlock, MD, and Sandra Burns of Churchton, MD; four grandchildren, Camden Leckliter, Britney Apostolakis, Michael Beers, and Brandi DeShong, and six great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Sharon's life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Tuesday, April 18 from 4 to 7 pm.
