helby was born - September 10, 1963 in Washington DC and departed — May 06, 2024 at Adventist Healthcare Shady Grove, Rockville MD. Throughout her sixty (60) years of life, Shelby better known as Kay Kay grew up in multiple areas of DC (NW, NE, SW) the longest in Anacostia South East area where she attended Savoy, Douglas and Anacostia DC Public Schools. Through her working years she worked within the areas of fast food and home health Upon the death of Katie Bell the lead of the Ramseur family, Shelby became the EXTRA SUPER GLUE of the family, making sure family altercations and gathering came out smelling like fresh baked goodies. Making sure family meals and events would happen without a flaw. Over the past few years her health has taken a hit which she fought back with her Ramseur strength giving her ailments an awesome fight with her loving family support system by her side (Dano being her number one bedside coach). Shelby, know that you are and always will be LOVED, MISSED and NEVER FORGOTTEN. Rest In Peace. She is pre-deceased by her Parents Katie Bell McGhee Ramseur and Russell L Ramseur Sr; Siblings — RussellL Ramseur and Janet L Ramseur "Precious" • Nephews — Dantanio Ramseur, Thomas Ill and Tomelis Nesmith; Maternal Special Uncle —Joseph Don McGhee; 4 Aunts and 1 Uncle; Paternal Aunt n- Cornelia Cade. She is survived by her Son — Antonio Ramseur; Son — Dantanio Stroman (GKids — Sean Jones, Santino Jones and Daniko Stroman); Husband — "Terry" Willie Dickens; Sister— Natasha Nesmith (Thomas Jr); Nephews — Kino Ramseur, Russell Ramseur, Lorenzo Ramseur and Dale Gaston; Over 100 years of age family — Maternal Aunt Thelma Brookins and Paternal Cousin Willie Mae Avery. Relatives and friends are invited to Shelby's Life Celebration on Monday, May 20, 2024 from 10 a.m. until the start of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at KALAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD 20745.
