hirley Anne Foote, a resident of Annapolis and Hobe Sound, FL, died on Friday, March 28 in West Palm Beach, FL. Born in Rainelle, WV on May 8, 1941 to the late Eula Marie and Jesse Charles Brown, Shirley attended Rainelle High School, Concord College and the University of Heidleberg, as well as cosmetology school. She worked as a model for Barbizon in New York and as a cosmetologist in Washington, D.C., where she met her husband Jim Foote. Many of her greatest accomplishments include her extensive philanthropy work and endless volunteer efforts with the Hospice Cup, the Hospice of the Chesapeake and the Holly Ball to benefit the Anne Arundel Medical Center. She enjoyed traveling the world with family and friends. She excelled at all arts and crafts and was an avid golfer. Shirley was well known for her vibrant personality and sense of humor. She brightened any room and was known to make everyone feel special. She was a dear friend to many and would give her time and energy to all in need. She was a giver and thoughtful and kind. She was also a patient and loving grandmother and loved nothing more than spending quality time with her grandchildren. She made holidays joyous occasions and loved gathering her family together. Her presence will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She is survived by her husband, James Foote; her daughter, Renee Bisciotti and son-in-law, Stephen J. Bisciotti; her son, Jason Foote and daughter-in-law, Melissa Foote and her grandchildren, Jason and Jack Bisciotti, Gunner and Jordan Foote. Friends are invited to Shirley’s Life Celebration from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm on Wednesday, April 2 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Funeral service will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, April 3 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Rd., Annapolis, MD. Entombment will be at 12 noon on Friday, April 4 at The End of the Trail Cemetery in Clintonville, WV. In lieu of flowers donations may be made, in memory of Shirley Ann Foote, to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, MD 21122 (www.hospicechesapeake.org/support-donate).
