Shirley Underwood - Obituary

hirley Lee Underwood, 74, a 30-year resident of Edgewater, MD died on December 19, 2010 at her home of cancer. Born May 1, 1936 in Martinsburg, WV, she was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed gardening and loved animals. She was the beloved wife of James Underwood, who died in November 2009; mother of Debbie (Jay) Jordan of Harwood, MD; stepdaughter of Frank Wilson of Edgewater, MD; grandmother of Kristin Vendemia of Annapolis, MD. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 1pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD. Interment private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401.
