Sidney "Starr" Hickman - Obituary

IDNEY HENRY HICKMAN (Age 62) ”STARR” MSG US ARMY (Ret.) On Thursday, December 17, 2020 of El Paso, Texas for 36 years, formerly of Oxon Hill, MD. Graduate of Potomac High School 1977 and Park University 2006. Master Sergeant (MSG) U.S. Army Retired served 24 Years, Air Defense Artillery branch in Germany and the Gulf War (Kuwait, Saudi Arabia). For his efforts throughout his career, he was awarded: Meritorious Service Medal (3), Commendation Medal (4), Army Achievement Medal (2), Southwest Asia Service Medal and the Kuwait Liberation Medal. Devout member of Washington Redskins Fan Club and West Point Parents Club in El Paso. Known as Starr, he loved home improvement projects, traveling, his two poodles, his family and country. He is survived by his wife, Ratna Hickman of 11 Years; mother, Margaret Ann Hickman, sons: MAJ Marcel Hickman, CPT Maurice Hickman; grandchildren Gaby and Sebastian Hickman; siblings: Jeffrey and Terry Hickman, Vicki Morgan, Kathy Coleman, Heidi Rivas, Carmen Douglas, Shaun and Nicole Blakely.
