t is with our deep sorrow to inform you that on September 10, 2013, in Freedom, California, Silvestre "Ding" G. Buenio Jr. 64 years old, passed away to the arms of our beloved Father. He was a caring husband to his wife, Barbara O. Buenio; an incredible and devoted father to Janice Barbra Buenio Martin and son-in-law John Martin, Rassel Jan O. Buenio, and Romuel Jan O. Buenio. Survived by his siblings Natividad De Mayo, Romeo Buenio and wife Princess Buenio, and Auring Delos Santos. Brother-in-law to Myrna Maman, Nida Thomson, and Manuel Orallo Jr. and wife Josie Orallo. Silvestre was a great man who loved Life. He was gentle and exuded a presence like no other A viewing is scheduled for Monday September 16, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9pm at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, September 17th at 10am at Oxon Hill United Methodist Church, 6400 Livingston Road Oxon Hill MD. Silvestre had various educational and professional achievements. He graduated from Far Eastern University and earned a Bachelors of Science in Commerce and was a Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines, He also worked as a Bank auditor in the Philippine Trust Bank. On his early professional career, he pursued working overseas in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia as a company accountant for over five and a half years. In his spare time, Silvestre worked as a real estate agent for Fil Estate in Manila. After migrating to the U.S., Silvestre continued working his profession at Freddie Mac for at least 4 years as an accountant. Silvestre married Barbara Orallo on April 5, 1978. They had three children together. Their first born was Janice Barbra Buenio Martin. She was born on December 23, 1978. Four years later, Barbara gave birth to their second child, Rassel Jan Orallo Buenio on September 7, 1982. On October 18, 1991 they welcomed the birth of their youngest child, Romuel Jan Orallo Buenio. He was first diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma on September 2005 and fought his disease furiously for 8 years with herculian effort. On September 10, 2013, he lost his battle with complications from his cancer.
