S

tanley Ray Ferguson passed away at his home in Harwood, MD. He was 67. Mr. Ferguson was born on May 12, 1940 in Princewick, West Virginia to Chippie White and Donzie L. Ferguson. Mr. Ferguson was the President and Co-Founder of the Ferguson Trenching Co. Inc. in Odenton, Maryland since 1966. He was a member of the Mount Zion United Methodist Church, Old South Country Club, The Elks, Utility Contractors of Anne Arundel County, National Republication Committee and was past President of Associated Builders and Contractors. His hobbies included farming, golf and breeding and raising Polled Herfords and he previously bred and raised quarter horses. Mr. Ferguson's first wife Doris V. Ferguson, whom he married December 15, 1962, passed away in March of 1994. Mr. Ferguson remarried on December 31, 2001 to Leigh A. Ferguson. Other survivors include his children, Jeffrey Ferguson of Lothian, MD, Cynthia Jimenez of Harwood, MD, Timothy Ferguson of Brackenridge, PA and his Step-Sons, Shane Clingerman and Josh Collins both of Harwood, MD. Two siblings, Steve Ferguson of Queenstown, MD and Rebecca Zutaut of Beckley, WV. He was also survived by 7 grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to Mr. Ferguson's Life Celebration on Friday, July 13, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD 21037. A funeral service will be offered on Saturday, July 14, 2007 at 11 A.M. at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 122 Bayard Road, Lothian, MD. Interment immediately following funeral service in the church cemetery.
