ue D. Rose, 77, died Monday March 22, 2010 at the Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis Maryland. Sue was born on April 6, 1932 in Knoxville, TN, the daughter of the late Elmer Earl Dyke and Alma Mae Ammons Dyke. She grew up in Knoxville and graduated from Central High School in 1950. In 1964, at the age of 32, Sue and her family moved to the Oxon Hill section of Prince George's County, Maryland. In 1976, the family moved to Edgewater, Maryland where she spent the remainder of her life. Sue was very active in the Londontowne Property Owners Association, serving as a member of the board-of-executives for over 20 years. In recognition of her work with the community Anne Arundel County named a path connecting her community to a nearby park in her honor.
Sue is survived by her husband of 59 years, Lloyd Benjamin Rose Jr.; her brother, William Earl Dyke of Knoxville, TN and her sister, June D. Keck, of Elijay, Georgia. She is also survived by her six sons: Lloyd Benjamin Rose III and daughter-in-law Deborah L. Rose, of Camp Springs, MD, William Timothy Rose and daughter-in-law Marcy D. Rose of Burlington, MA, David D. Rose and daughter-in-law Carol Darling of Great Falls, VA., Steven Andrew Rose of Londontowne, MD, Robert Joseph Rose and daughter-in-law Verna L. Rose of Pasadena, MD and Thomas Earl Rose and daughter-in-law April Ann Rose of Baltimore, MD. In addition, she is survived by 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD where funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 25 at 11AM. Burial private.
