Sule Teoman - Obituary

ule Teoman, 81, of Annapolis Landing in Riva, died on December 4 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Born on August 20, 1932 in Istanbul, Turkey, Sule graduated from high school then studied classical piano at the Istanbul Conservatory of Music. She was engaged to Mete Teoman of Istanbul in 1954 and they were married in the United States on January 23, 1956. In the early years of their marriage, Sule worked as a private piano teacher. She then devoted her life to her family, making sure her two sons were raised properly. She enjoyed skiing and scuba diving with her family and her weekly lunch dates with her friends, Nur and Sebat of Crofton where they would talk and do needle work. Sule was preceded in death by her son, Emre in 2011. She is survived by her husband of almost 58 years, Mete Teoman; a son, Deniz Teoman of San Mateo, CA; four granddaughters, Elizabeth and Melissa Teoman of Columbia, Caitlin and Amanda Teoman of San Mateo, CA. Friends are invited to Sule’s Life Celebration from 6 to 8pm on Sunday at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater. Graveside service and interment will be held at 10am on Monday, December 9 at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, 900 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville.
