Susan L. Abston - Obituary

usan Lee Abston, 77 of Alexandria, Virginia died on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at her residence in Alexandria, Virginia . Born Tuesday, August 25, 1942 in Manila, Philippines to the late Salazar and Rita Santiago. She was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Edith Tolentino. Surviving are son, James Abston, daughters, Elizabeth (Jack) Srikachorn and Beverly (Greg) Deweese, grandchildren, Parkpoom Srikachorn, Jamie Alexander and Dillon Abston, sisters, Celia Pappas, Corazon Guyala and Nevis Godtlen. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to Susan's Life Celebration from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2020, at Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 6160 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12:00 PM on Thursday, July 2 at St. Columba Catholic Church, 7800 Livingston Road, Oxon Hill, Maryland 20745 with the Fr. Gary Villanueva officiating. Interment is currently private due to the regulations of the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Susan's name to the Alzheimers Association at alz.org
