Susan “Susie†Adams-Irons, a 3 year resident of Prince Frederick, and previously of Davidsonville, where she lived most of her life, died on Thursday December 4, 2008 at Washington Hospital Center after a lengthy illness. She was 43.
Born April 30, 1965 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida to the late Joe L. and Billie Jo Adams, she attended South River High School. After school, she began working right away. She loved her job at Annapolis Harley Davidson and then transferred to All American Harley Davidson in Hughesville, MD.
Iron Angel, as she was sometimes referred to, loved to ride her motorcycle, and attended many motorcycle related events and charity functions. She was a member of the ABATE club and enjoyed organizing fund raisers.
Susie is survived by her husband, Rodney W. Irons of Calvert County, her children Kelly Wright of Brooksville, Florida, and Stephen Owens, Jr. of Edgewater. She is also survived by her siblings, Danny Adams of Crofton, Joey Adams of Kannapolis, NC, Trisha “Peanut†Adams of Louden Co., VA and Lisa Webster of Crofton, MD. She is also survived by one granddaughter Sabrina Jones of Brooksville, FL.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday December 6, 2008 at 11:30am at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, 900 W. Central Ave. Davidsonville, MD. A celebration of Susie's life will be held at the Knights of Pythias, 10 Pythian Drive in Annapolis, MD starting at 3pm until 9pm.
In lieu of flowers the family will be taking donations in order to start a trust fund for her children and to save Susie's Harley Davidson Motorcycle. A donation box will be set up at the memorial service.
