Susan Keith DeMent - Obituary

usan "Susie" Keith DeMent, 72, of Maryland, formerly of Washington State, passed away on September 16, 2024, at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. Born on July 28, 1952, in Seattle, WA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Alexander Lesnett, Jr. and Marian Phyllis Lesnett. Susie lived for 20 years in Maryland and spent much of her career working for the federal government. As a dedicated military spouse, she supported her husband and family through the challenges and joys of military life. Susie enjoyed knitting, playing cards and games, researching ancestry, traveling, and spending cherished moments with family and friends in her free time. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 18 years, Ted DeMent. Susie is survived by her two sons, Tim DeMent of Salisbury, MD, and Sean DeMent and his wife, Kimberly, of Huntingtown, MD; four grandchildren, Dru, Mason, Joslynn, and Isabelle; and many cousins and her adopted West Coast family. A celebration of Susie's life will be held at a later date.
