Susanne Marie Babbington - Obituary

usanne (“Susie”) Marie Babbington, beloved daughter of William Francis Babbington (Jan. 25 1943- Sept. 24, 2005) and Elizabeth Ann Babbington, died at Anne Arundel Hospital, Annapolis, MD, on Thursday afternoon, January 24, 2019. Younger sister of Kevin (Yvonne), Brendan (Margaret), and Carrie (Mike Hillegass) and older sister of Cassie (Josh Monk), and aunt to Brittany, Kevin William, Mae, Brendan, Jr., Hope, Kiki, Ella, Billy and Teddy. Susie was a 1998 Graduate of the Lab School of Washington and a 2002 Graduate of Lynn College in Boca Raton, FL, where she was on the competitive cheer team. Born with an infectious laugh and a beautiful voice, Susie sang in church choir and at the weddings of her siblings, when she was often praised for her singing of Ave Maria. Susie had a deep love for her father and mother and siblings; she enjoyed crocheting blankets and scarves for her siblings, nieces and nephews; enjoyed watching Disney movies, dancing Zumba, eating crabs and singing to her favorite ‘80’s and ‘90’s pop stars. She loved her cats and dogs. Susie had a degree in gerontology and was certified in elder-care and worked as an activity’s coordinator at Manor Care. She had a strength of will and physicality matched by few. Susie's light and legacy will live on and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 9 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD. Interment on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, MD. ST.
