Suzanne M. Grande - Obituary

I

t is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Suzanne Grande, who departed this life on July 3, 2025, at the age of 64 due to interstitial lung disease. She passed peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. Suzanne was born on November 1, 1960 in Washington, D.C. and raised in Connecticut. She attended The University of Maryland where she was a beloved Kappa Delta and graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She went on to be a flight attendant for Piedmont Air for 13 years and then shifted career paths to work in Pharmaceutical Sales. Most importantly she was a devoted mother and spent a majority of her life raising her two daughters. Suzanne was a woman of strength, wit, and compassion. She dedicated her life to her family and to making the world around her a little brighter each day. Whether through hosting friends and family with endless appetizers and snacks, a kind word, or simply her presence, she made those around her feel loved and supported. Suzanne was a dedicated wife, mother and friend who gave her all to those she cared for. Her love was unconditional, her wisdom was confident and powerful, and her laughter unforgettable. She had a deep appreciation for tennis, boating, community, faith and soap operas. She found joy in life’s simple moments and held onto them firmly. She is survived by her beloved husband, Mark Grande; her daughters, Samantha and Shelby; her sons-in-law, Ben and Brennan; her grand-daughter who will be born in September of this year; her loyal English chocolate lab, Charlie, along with numerous in-laws and nieces and nephews who will carry her memory and legacy in their hearts forever. Though words cannot fully express the loss we feel, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in all of us. Mass of the Resurrection will be offered at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Rd., Annapolis, MD on Saturday, July 19 at 10:30 am. There will be a reception to follow. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org), a cause close to her heart. Feel free to write in dedication to Suzanne Grande. Suzanne, you were the heart of our family. Your love will always guide us.
