Terence Albert Costa - Obituary

erence Albert Costa "Terry", a resident of the Annapolis/ West River area for more than 25 years and previously of Washington, DC and Arlington, VA, died suddenly on Saturday, August 25 at his home in West River. Born on April 2, 1955 in Washington, DC to the late John David and Carolyn Costa, Terry graduated from High Point High School and earned a BS degree from the University of Maryland. He had an extensive background in printing and print management, working in the private sector for many years before joining the Treasury Department in Washington, DC as a Senior Tax Analyst. Terry was his children's greatest fan and supporter; he was actively involved in his son's ice hockey and his daughter's lacrosse pursuits, attending all their games. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed boating, loved life, music, the Washington Capitals, Maryland Terps, Redskins and Nationals. Terry's infectious laugh, contagious humor, compassion and determination will be deeply missed. He is survived by his beloved wife, Molly Costa; his children, Peter and Clare Costa all of West River, MD; his brothers: his twin, Thomas of Carolina Shores, NC, Steven (Colleen) of Ocean View, DE and James (Ginger) Costa of Centreville, MD; his sisters, Nancy (Michael) Farran of Adelphi, MD and Joanna Costa of Odenton, MD. Friends are invited to celebrate Terry's life on Thursday, August 30 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, August 31 at 10:30 AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 Bestgate Rd., Annapolis, MD. Terry was a survivor of Multiple Myeloma and a previous heart attack.
