T

eresa Ann “Terri” Howes, 57, of Annapolis and previously of Churchton, died July 10 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. She was born on May 14, 1955 to the late John W. and Mary G. Howes. She graduated from Southern High School, attended several trade schools and worked in ticket sales at Bow Tie Cinemas. Terri was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church and its Women’s Guild. She was a talented pianist who also enjoyed crocheting, reading and, most of all, spending time with family and friends. Her dearest friend was her cat, Thomasina, whom she adored. In addition to her parents, Terri was preceded in death by her brother, John W. Howes, Jr., step-father, Don Marshall and step-sister, Debbie Nicholson. She is survived by two brothers, Thomas G. Howes of Hermitage, TN and Edward L. Howes of Delaware; one sister, Marie M. Krause of Annapolis; two step-sisters, Donna Prochazka of West River and Carol Marshall of Florida and many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to Terri’s Life Celebration from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 12 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 13 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 101 Owensville Road, West River, MD 20778. Interment church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church or to the Arundel Lodge, 2600 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD 21037.
