Teresa Lynn Hutzel - Obituary

eresa Lynn Hutzel, 36, a lifelong resident of Edgewater, MD, passed away on January 2, 2019 in Elkton, MD. Born on November 29, 1982 in Annapolis to Howard “Buddy” and Sharon Kernan, Teresa graduated from South River High School in 2000 and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Salisbury State University in 2007. She worked as a Logistics Management Specialist at the Aberdeen Proving Ground. In addition to her parents, Teresa is survived by her loving husband of 2 years, John Davis Hutzel; two step-daughters, Hailey and Maykayla Hutzel; her brother, Jason Kernan of Edgewater and sister, Carol (Shelby Taylor) Kernan of Crawfordville, FL; her father-in-law, Walter (Lisa Smith) Hutzel; brother-in-law, William Hutzel and sister-in-law, Jessica Joines. Teresa was also the devoted aunt of Hailey and Kamden Taylor and Kiley Kernan. Friends are invited to celebrate Teresa's life with her family on Tuesday, January 8, from 2 to 4 and 6 pm to 8 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD 21037, where Teresa's funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 11 am.
