Terry Gheen - Obituary

erry "Sissy" Gheen On Monday, January 27, 2025, Sissy Gheen, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many, passed away at the age of 61 at her home in Edgewater, Maryland.  She was born on April 9, 1963, in Washington, DC, to the late Mary and Fred Ruleman, Sr.  Sissy tragically lost her mother, Geraldine, when she was only 3 years old. Sissy attended High School at Parkdale Senior High.  She married the love of her life, Dennis Gheen, in 1983 at 20 and 21.  From there, they grew their family with the addition of their children Sarah, Shaun, and Samantha.  Over the years, they enjoyed boating, camping, Nascar races, and hanging out with friends and family. Sissy worked as a school bus driver assistant and helped children with special needs.  This warmed her soul and her loving nature.  She idolized these children and enjoyed spending her days helping others.  Love, kindness, and generosity were some of her amazing traits.    Sissy is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Dennis Gheen; their loving children, Sarah (Doug) McIntire, Shaun Gheen, Samantha (Tony Spadaro) Gheen; her grandchildren, which she adored Mia Gheen, Aiden McIntire, Addison McIntire, Mason Spadaro, Madison Spadaro and Axel McIntire; her siblings Beverly Strunk, Bonnie Henderson, Jimmy Ruleman, David Ruleman, Bo Ruleman and Roger Ruleman. She is preceded in death by her parents Geraldine, Mary, and Fred Ruleman, Sr, along with her siblings Patricia Edinger, Sherry Nelson, and Fred Ruleman, Jr.                 Family and friends are invited to celebrate Sissy's life at the Selby Clubhouse, 3715 1st Ave., Edgewater, MD, on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 1:00 PM.
