heresa Ann Fatzinger Kazerman, 44, of Crownsville, MD, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 after a courageous, two year battle with triple negative breast cancer. Born on September 19, 1967, in Washington, D.C., Theresa was raised in various locations throughout Maryland: Silver Spring, Germantown, Towson, Hanover, and Frederick. As an adult she lived in Germantown and Annapolis, until she and her husband, Glen were married and settled in Crownsville. She was a 1985 graduate of Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick, and a 1989 graduate of Towson University in Towson, where she majored in business marketing. Her professional career in hotel hospitality spanned seventeen years. She became Vice President of Sales for several hotel management corporations, including Interstate Hotels and Resorts of Washington, DC. Her career required a fair amount of traveling throughout the United States. Theresa was the most loving mother to her daughter, Morgan, participating in all that should could to enjoy every activity with her pride and joy. Her role, as mother to Morgan, was her most satisfying vocation. Morgan and Theresa enjoyed every activity together like two best friends. Theresa enjoyed family times with Glen and Morgan on their boat, and traveling together in the family recreational vehicle, as well as taking international trips with Glen. Theresa was known for being a good and faithful friend, having maintained friendships lasting since high school days. She continued to be close with her college suite mates, as well as to many friends in the community. Theresa was known as a generous and forgiving person. She was a lifelong lover of animals. Theresa is survived by her husband of more than nine years, Glen Kazerman; daughter Morgan Kazerman; parents Meredith and Thomas Connar, PhD of Bridgeville, DE and Harold R. Fatzinger, Jr. of Havre de Grace, MD; brothers Thomas Fatzinger of Port Depoist, MD, and his daughter Amber and Matthew Connar and his wife, Kelly Connar of Cape Coral, Fl; her in laws, Stanley Kazerman and Paula Kazerman of Boyton Beach, Fl; brother in law Keith Kazerman and wife Dana Kazerman and their son Ryder Kazerman all of Jericho, NY; nieces Alexandra and Samantha and nephews, Cooper and Carson. Friends are invited to Theresa’s Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Thursday, March 1 from 12:00 to 2:00pm and at Baldwin Memorial United Methodist Church, 921 Generals Hwy., Millersville, MD on Friday March 2 from 9:30am until her memorial service begins at 10:00am.
