Theresa Lynn Varnell - Obituary

heresa Lynn Varnell, a resident of Edgewater, MD for thirty years, died on Friday, November 3, 2017 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Born on November 30, 1962 in Washington, DC to Joan and the late Francis Horstkamp, Theresa earned a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Maryland. She worked with Rexel Electric in their promotions department, with Giant Food in their main office for twenty years and also was a Mary Kay consultant. She enjoyed quarter auctions with her girlfriends, skiing, country music and travelling. Theresa is survived by husband of thirty-three years, Ernest L. Varnell, Jr. "Ernie"; her children, Christopher (Jennifer) Varnell of Prince Frederick, MD, Timothy and Brian Varnell both of Edgewater, MD; her brother, Stephen (Theresa) Horstkamp of North Beach, MD and her sister, Debra (William) Merten of Deale, MD. Friends are invited to celebrate Theresa's life on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD where her funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 11 at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, MD.
