homas G. Dugan, 79, of Annapolis, MD and formerly of Laurel, MD, peacefully passed away due to complications from heart surgery on Sunday, December 4 with his family at his side.
Born in New York City, Tom attended St. John’s University in New York and spent most of his career as a financial advisor with Legg Mason. He enjoyed golfing, the beach, carving decoys, travelling (especially to Ireland), performing his magic tricks and surrounding himself with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary M. Dugan; son, Tommy Dugan, and brother, Stephen Dugan.
Tom is survived by his wife, Judge Theresa A. Nolan; his brother, John Dugan; his children, Marybeth (Mark), Kerry and Michael (Lori) Dugan; his grandchildren, Tully, Tripp and Arley and countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He is also survived by his wife’s 11 children, 29 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to celebrate Tom's life on Friday, December 9 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Saturday, December 10 at 11:00 am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 Bestgate Rd., Annapolis, MD. Charitable contributions, in memory of Tommy Dugan, may be made to the ARC of Prince George’s County, 1401 McCormick Drive, Upper Marlboro, MD 20774.
