Thomas Jacobs - Obituary

homas Edward Jacobs III, 63, a 19-year resident of Dunkirk, MD and previously of Rockville, MD, died November 1, 2013 at Suburban Hospital, Bethesda, MD. He was born November 17, 1949 in Baltimore and was the founder and owner of Jacobs & Jacobs, P.A. in Edgewater. He was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan. He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Jeanne Mullaney Jacobs and his grandson, Kevin Daniel Jacobs. He is survived by three sons, Michael Jacobs of Chevy Chase, MD, Marty Jacobs of Silver Spring, MD, and Tim Jacobs of Dunkirk, MD; four siblings, Carol Bollinger, Joan Watson, Jerry Jacobs and Mary Sadlowski; and five grandchildren, Patrick Kineen, Brendan Haggerty, Claire Elizabeth, Emily Catherine and John Wayne Jacobs. Friends are invited to Tom’s Life Celebration from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM on Thursday, November 7 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 AM on Friday, November 8 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 101 Owensville Road, West River. Interment church cemetery.
