homas "Tom" Francis McBride, 69, a 41-year resident of Annapolis, died April 16, 2012 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. He was born July 10, 1942 in Boston, MA to the late John and Julia McBride and graduated from St. Columbkille High School. Tom worked in the flooring industry, retiring as a general sales manager. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserve. Tom was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Annapolis and formerly served as a coach for the PeeWee basketball and baseball teams. He enjoyed a good hot dog, solving crossword puzzles and celebrating the Thanksgiving holidays. He was also an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. Most of all, Tom was devoted to his family and especially loved spending time with his granddaughters. In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by one brother, William. He survived by his wife of 47 years, Judith McBride, two sons, Thomas Jr. of Chicago, IL and Jeffrey of Massachusetts; one daughter, Kimberly Barnhardt of Deale; two brothers, John and Joseph of Massachusetts; two sisters, Mary Wilkins of Maine and Paula Molinari of Massachusetts; and three granddaughters, Scout, Shannon and Clarisse. Friends are invited to Tom's Life Celebration on Wednesday, April 18, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8p.m. at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, April 19, at 10:30a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Road, Annapolis. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
