DUE TO IMPENDING WEATHER THE VISITATION DAY HAS MOVED TO THURSDAY, MARCH 16 1-4 PM Thomas L. Oliff, Jr., 72, died peacefully at his home in Baltimore, MD on Monday, March 6, 2017. Tom was the President of Appliance Distributors Unlimited and, with his business partner and friend Pat Mister, worked tirelessly to run a successful company. Tom was truly a giant in the industry. Along with an incredible business sense, Tom had a strong altruistic nature and never hesitated to help people and organizations throughout his life. He was a self-made businessman who lived a full and happy life. His hobbies included horse racing, a passion which led to him winning the Maryland Million in 2014. He also enjoyed hand dancing and was an active member of the D.C. Hand Dance Club. Tom loved being at his residences in both Florida and Baltimore as well as spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Tom is survived by his daughters, Linda Oliff (Daniel) Rohleder, Christina and Nicole Oliff; his partner, Deborah Breeback and her daughter, Kristin (Dominic) Iannantuono and their children, Sofia and Nick and her son, Gregory (Sandra) Breeback and their daughter, Sibylla; his grandchildren, Wally Hines (Brittany Anderson), Christopher Hines (Sarah Newnam) and Mason Hartman; his great-grandchildren, Austin and Jackson Hines; his siblings, Virginia Osorio, Theresa Rose, Wayne and Hal (Lois) Oliff, as well as countless close relatives and friends. Friends are invited to celebrate Tom's life from 1 to 4 pm on Thursday, March 16 at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. A private reception will follow.
