Thomas McCoy Powell - Obituary

n Monday, August 17, 2009; Tommy passed away from his 9 year battle with cancer at his home in SouthEast, Washington; husband of his devoted wife Joyce Powell; father of his devoted children Tina (Ed) Mariano, Sandy (Steve) Ghoorau, Laurie Powell and Thomas (Theresa) Powell, Jr.; grandfather of Holly, Jordan, Samual, Joshua, Kaitlyn, Thomas III and his devoted granddaughter Tiffany Powell. He is also survived by his best friends Jack and Jackie. Relatives and friends are invited to Tommy's Life Celeberation at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, where services will be held on Friday, August 21, at 11am. Interment Ft. Lincoln Cemetery.
