Thomas Proctor - Obituary

elatives and friends are invited to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 8910 Old Branch Ave., Clinton, MD on Tuesday, January 4 from 10am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD. Thomas Richard Proctor (Tommy) was born March 5, 1933 to the late Mary Nora and William Arthur Proctor. On Monday, December 20, 2010, the Lord saw that Thomas was weary and called him home. Thomas was baptized on April 23, 1933, and fulfilled his sacraments. Thomas attended Sojourner Truth Elementary in Oxon Hill, Maryland. Thomas joined the United States Army on September 22, 1950 and was honorably discharged on March 18, 1954. Thomas was united in Holy Matrimony to Helen Proctor in April 19, 1952. From this union 12 children were born. This marriage was dissolved in divorce. Thomas was remarried to Annie Ball-Proctor on June 25, 1977, and separated in 2009. Thomas was employed by Washington Gas Light Company, where he retired in 1988. Thomas leaves to cherish his memory, two beloved sons: Richard and Daniel; ten daughters: Ann, Rosa, Doreen, Rita, Debbie, Renee, Donna, Dora, Roxanne, and Denise; Twenty-seven grandchildren; Thirty-four Great-Grandchildren; Eight Brothers; Six Sisters, and host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
